October Breathing Space, Saturday 26th

At any time of year it’s good to have regular ‘breathing spaces’ – time for you to slow down and rediscover your calm!
Particularly good at this time of year as we approach the Celtic festival of Samhain. Our Celtic ancestors would have the harvest complete, the turf home and the cattle in for the winter – they would celebrate the achievements of the year ending and prepare for a slower pace. In tune with nature they would welcome winter as a time to stay closer to home, to do less work, to use the shorter days for the work of self care and maintenance, to contemplate the great cycle of the seasons – a time to conserve energy and resources – to rest, recharge and reset.
In these days of electricity and internet, we can have light, travel and activity all year round – nothing wrong with that except that we can easily lose the restorative rest of winter. In this half-day retreat I’ll be encouraging you to slow down, to tune in to the quiet and nourishing rest that winter offers. I’ll guide you in a number of easy and enjoyable daily practices to help you build little pockets of nourishing rest into your winter months. The whole idea is that when Spring comes around again you’ll be ready to celebrate the return of new life and energy!

Whether you wish to book a place or need more information, I’ll be delighted to hear from you!
Warmly,
Mairead
